What's the best Play Station 3 online game available at the moment?

I've just gone online today for the first time with the game 'Warhawk' - but I'm very disappointed with it, the controls are horrible, the fighter planes especially are so counter intuitive as to be just completely unflyable.



The whole experience is a mess in fact thus far.



Can anyone recommend a good online game?



Any good racing games?



Adventure games even?

For good and solid online games;



Modern Warfare 2 (you can wait for MAG as it boasts it can hold up to 256 players) though PC have been doing that for over a decade.



Good Adventure game;



I would say Uncharted 2. Or if you don't mind action and adventure I would recommend Batman: Arkham Asylum. Assassin Creed II is another one as well.



Racing game; Need for Speed comes to mind though grand turismo is worth the wait.

Kind of a contradiction in terms.



MAG is coming out at the end of the month though, which will either succeed as far as console gaming goes, or fall on its ****, (many PC games have been doing more than 256 players for nearly a decade).



Aside from that, AdHoc party is good if you have a PSP even though we did get it more than a year after the Japanese.



As much as the PS3 fanboys won't like to hear it, (keeping in reference I own ALL modern consoles and previous consoles), the Xbox360 has way more people online and way more games, (due to full backwards compatability, more download games, and also having been out longer), it also has more people playing online.



As for racing games, I'm quite partial to a bit of Need For Speed: Undercover myself, whilst being multiformat, I have on the PS3, and quite enjoy it, LittleBigPlanet is quite quirky too, though isn't aging as well as what many were hoping.

a good football game would be NFL 10

Shooter: MW2, Borderlands.

for a racing game i find GRID is good and alot of people play it.
Resident Evil 5 is really good online.
