Best PS3 racing games- With online multiplayer?

What are some of the best ps3 racing games out there right now with an active online community?

I've narrowed it down to GT5 and Dirt 3. I read Dirt 3 requires an online passcode so i guess i should be looking a new copy?Best PS3 racing games- With online multiplayer?

if u like games like mario kart, get modnation racers! its exclusive to ps3 and the community is very active. everyone is in the game! everything is customizable, the people, the levels, the karts. its really fun. its like littlebigplanet and mario kart made a babyBest PS3 racing games- With online multiplayer?
GT5 is absolutely awesome. Online it suffers a little as all racing games do but still incredible. I struggled with Dirt 3, the new Need for Speed looks good (Mid Nov release) but one game that surprised me was Formula 1 2011 both on and offline.
No question Need for speed The Run.
